BIOGRAPHY:

I was born in Laos in 1969 during the height of the Vietnam Conflict.  When the Conflict ended, my parents escaped to a refugee camp in neighboring Thailand; my grandmother, brother and I were later smuggled out of Laos to join them in 1977.  After a 2-year stint in Thailand, we finally immigrated to the USA where we first settled in Minnesota and then eventually Nevada, where I graduated high school in 1988.  After graduation, I enrolled in the US Army and ended up staying in the East Coast ever since—my basic training was in Fort Dix, New Jersey; my AIT in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; and my active duty in Fort Drum, New York.  My 4-year military service included a tour of duty in “Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm”.  After receiving an honorable discharge in 1992, I embarked on higher education and received my Bachelor of Arts from SUNY-Binghamton in 1996, followed by a Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School in 1999.  My legal career began in earnest in 2001 with Attorney James F. Taylor in Sherburne, New York.  To this day I live my life, practice my profession and serve as Village Justice for the people of Sherburne.
